"When Vera Was Sick" by Vera Rosenberg
Cute little book about a when a little girl named Vera had chicken pox. She talks about making up stories and wishing she could go play.
I would use this book in my classroom to talk about have patience when you are sick and I might have the students make up an activity they might do when they are sick to prevent boredom.

"The Family Book" by Todd Parr
I loved this book!!! It is all about differences and similarities of the family. It event talks about having same-sex parents. This would have also been a good book for diversity.
I might use this in the classroom to have students talk about difference in their families.

"When I Think of God"by Martha Whitmore Hickman
This book almost made me cry. It was so sweet and caring because every time the child thought of something good they also thought of God. I'm pretty sure this couldn't be used in public school but would be great for a Christian school setting.
I might would use this book to have children think of things that make them think of God too then write them down and give them to their parents as a gift.

"Princess and the Peas" by Rachel Himes
I thought this was a great little book about keeping your southern roots and everyone know how us Southerns like our black eyed peas!!
I might would use this book to show my student how to cook a put of peas as there is a recipe in the back. You might could ask students to be creative and add their own touches!!
